When the new World of Warcraft 6.2 patch was released a new crafting item was added and it was the Felblight. It is used for upgrading gear and is essentially the new Savage Blood and can be farmed a lot easier and sells for a decent amount of gold in the auction house.
Ways to farm Felblight:
Supreme Lord Kazzak
This is the best one without a doubt. All you have to do is find a group for the new world boss Supreme Lord Kazzak (I recommend using the in-game Premade Group Finder to find a group) and participate in the kill. It’s very easy and only takes a few minutes. He can drop up to 15 Felblight. Currently it sells for around 300-600 gold EACH. So if you get the lucky drop of 15 then we can assume that you would get around 6000 gold if each sold for 400 gold. About 5-10 minutes for 6000 gold, what more can you ask for?
You can the boss on EVERY SINGLE ONE of your level 100 characters and it resets every week, so if you have 10 characters you can get as high as 60000 gold every week if you are lucky.
This is a very slow method of farming Felblight and is not recommended as it could take thousands before you get even 1 if you’re very unlucky. Rare mobs have a slightly higher chance of dropping them but it’s still extremely low.
Fishing is in my opinion the best and most afk-able method of getting Felblight, provided that you can find lots of Fish Schools and a bit of luck. Each cast has an approximate chance of 3-6% of getting you a Felblight but you also get a boatload of fish worth a lot of gold.
There are lots of places where you can fish, but I personally like to fish in an obscure little “hidden” cave where I have never seen any other players in. There are mobs in there though so you should be prepared for a little bit of combat, so if you’re on a PvP server and prefer to half afk without being stabbed in the back all the time then this is a great place for you.
The place is called Stygana Cavern.
If you want to find even more schools then you should probably head over to the Ruins of Kra’nak instead. A very obscure place as well but it does have bonus objectives so there might be some people there.
All the mining nodes in the Tanaan Jungle has a chance of giving you a Felblight when mined. I have yet to find a good path to take when mining, I have heard of people finding places with about 3-5 nodes and realm transferring for the nodes to respawn though.
They nerfed skinning but there is still a quite large chance of 10% drop rate. I have found the Bloodfang Ravager to be a good source of skinning.
